It won’t just be car manufacturers, next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show will host a slew of accessories makers, customization houses, and parts providers as well. Among this motley crew of speed freaks and horsepower junkies is Germany’s TECHART and its customization kit for the Porsche Panamera Turbo. Customer can select a range of  alloy wheels from 20 to 22 inches in size, an integrated cockpit with premium leather appointments, two 7-inch displays, fold-away tray tables, carbon fiber inlays, and more…

Officially unveiled in January of this year, the Audi RS7 is set to go on sale in the U.S. this fall, which starts at $104,900 for the high-performance sedan.  Billed as the most powerful RS model ever offered in the U.S., the RS7 is fitted with a twin-turbo 4.0 TFSI V8 engine — good for 560 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque — mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and combined with Audi quattro all-wheel drive. The result is an impressive 0 – 60 mph launch time of just 3.7 seconds.

Weighing at just 1340 kilograms, 70 less the current Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4, the Squadra Corse’s V10 engine has 570 horsepower on tap and a race proven e-gear six-speed transmission at the ready through two steering wheel paddles. Noticeable via its large rear wing to increase aerodynamic down-force during high speed maneuvers, together with the car’s all-wheel drive format, it is capable of 0 to 100 km/h (or 62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds and 200 km/h (or 124 mph) in 10.4 seconds. Tops out at 230 km/h or 198.8 mph, theLamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse comes in Giallo Midas (yellow), Bianco Monocerus (white), Grigio Thalasso (grey) and in Rosso Mars (red). The car is set to officially debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

While it’s name may be confusing, the power behind this latest from Subaru is in your face. Releasing as a Japan-only model, the Subaru WRX STI tS Type RA is going to be capped to a maximum of 300 units and is based on the four-door WRX STI spec C, but all of the latest attention was paid to the car’s suspension system. While horsepower figures will be staying the same, Subaru sought out to enhance its “strength and nimbleness,” including a new STI-tuned suspension with new struts, springs, and dampers as well as a faster steering ratio (11:1) and finished with stop-on-a-dime Brembo six-pot brake calipers. Externally, the car picks up a new front lip spoiler, black accents, and your choice of a Tangerine Orange Pearl, Satin White, or Blue Mica paint job. The majority of those built will also ship with the optional NBR Challenge Package that adds Recardo bucket seats, a new carbon fiber spoiler, and 18-inch BBS aluminum wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires.

Recognizing that commuters spend an inordinate amount of time in their cars, Apple has unveiled iOS in the Car, an iOS 7 feature that enables the iPhone 5 to display some of its essential functions through the car’s multimedia system. According to Apple, iOS in the Car “seamlessly integrates your iOS device — and the iOS experience — with your in-dash system,” allowing the user to “easily and safely make phone calls, access your music, send and receive messages, get directions and more.” The driver can either use the car’s controls or give verbal commands to Siri, which can read iMessages aloud and transcribe your spoken responses. Automakers announced as providing iOS in the Car number a dozen: Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Ferrari, Chevrolet, Kia, Hyundai, Volvo, Jaguar, Infiniti, Acura and Opel.
