Will there be a Lamborghini SUV? Photo leaked!

The rumor of a Lamborghini SUV has been kicking around since the day the LM002 died. Bentley has confirmed theirsMaserati is set on the Kubang; if there is a perfect time for a new Lamborghini SUV, now’s it. And if there’s any place to reveal a quarter-million-dollar SUV, it’s Beijing.

Italian publication quattroroute, it has leaked this image of an Aventador with ground clearance purporting to be the new Lamborghini SUV.  It’s unclear at this point if it’s a leak or a rendering, but based on how similar this looks to an Aventador, we’re thinking rendering. Powering the ultra-SUV will be the Gallardo’s V10 in base trim and a top-trim hybrid drivetrain — due in 2015– cranking out 700 hp. The hybrid part of this rumor sounds unlikely by 2015.

Going along with the rendering/leak is the rumor that Lamborghini will show the first concept of this at the Beijing Motor Show in April.

ElusiveMaG reports: Tri-turbo setup for new Porsche 911

ElusiveMaG reports: Tri-turbo setup for new Porsche 911
That’s right, not one, not two, but a tri(3) turbo setup for the new Porsche 911. This tri-turbo setup through its 3.8-liter flat-six, similar to what BMW’s introduced on its new M Series diesels. Which means more power, better fuel economy and improved throttle response. Porsche claims 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and as much as 550 horsepower through its 7-speed PDK transmission, which feeds its all-wheel drive system. As good as the system is, there’s room for improvement. Adding a third turbo will produce more linear power (especially at low-end), while reducing both emissions and overall fuel consumption. The trade off, of course, is increased complexity.Since the next 911 Turbo is still in the development phase, word around the industry is that next Porsche 911 will be even more powerful than the current production 530 horsepower Porsche turbo S.

Expect Porsche to use the tri-turbo setup in the next 911 GT2 and the 911 GT2 RS as well.

Kuwait awaits Aston Martins production V12 Zagato

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato made its international rounds last year as a prototype, now the beast has risen. The production model will be revealed at Kuwait Concours d’ Elegance (running February 15-18). Only 150 of the super-exclusive Aston’s will be made for worldwide consumption.
Aston Martin hasn’t released any new photos so we don’t know how the 510-horsepower, £330,000 (that’s $550,000 U.S.,before taxes), aluminum-and-carbon-bodied coupe will differ from its progenitor. If prototype at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show is an indicator, though, future owners have much to look forward to.

BUGATTI Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Special Edition

If you loved the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, than I’m sure this Special Edition will rock your socks, especially in the bumble bee colorway shown at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show. Three colors were brought to the show, which also included a blue carbon and green/silver, the yellow and black carbon fiber Veyron’s colorway continues on the interior with seats finished in yellow leather with black stitching and a middle console, dashboard, and steering wheel all decked out in black. While the drivetrain remained untouched, which makes this car the fastest street legal convertible on the market, the Grand Sport still is capable of hitting 1,001-hp through its 8.0-liter W-16 engine and hitting 60mph in less than 2.5 seconds. With a price tag of $2,000,000 only 150 units will be produced. So make sure when your writing that check, that you have nerves of steel.
